Alato Cabinet by Jumphol Socharoentham and Pakawat Vijaykadga

Design students Jumphol Socharoentham and Pakawat Vijaykadga have created this inspiring color-gradient cabinet as part of their furniture design major at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok, Thailand. When designing the Alato Cabinet, they were inspired by feathers as they are even forms, have layers, shading, and are also colorful. Take a look at more images below.

Beginning as both of us interested in craftsmanship works and need to use the invention of the woodwork to be the point of this project.We choose the feathers to be as our inspiration for design because we saw the configuration that we can use it for design, even form, layers, shading and also the colorful.

Material : Solid ash, Ash veneer, MDF board, Metal
Finishing : Spray paint, Powder coat
