DROPLET – Sensorial Installation by Bureau de Change

An award winning architecture practice Bureau de Change presented Droplet a sensorial installation at Sto Werkstatt, bringing together the rich industrial heritage of Clerkenwell and Sto’s range of IQ façade finishes. The center of the space is a three-dimensional surface made of 100 petal-like structures and 100 pendulums suspended specifically above in a lattice development, making a field of vertical components.

Bureau de Change have taken a very technical, scientific and rather un-visual set of Sto materials and reinterpreted them to explore the past and potential futures of architecture. The positive effects these façade coatings could have on our individual and collective environments are exceptional. We hope this exhibition and related events will position these solutions for healthier and more sustainable buildings at the forefront of architects, developers and contractors’ minds. – Amy Croft, Curator at Sto Werkstatt

Droplet opens on 14 October 2016, and runs until 16 December 2016 at Sto Werkstatt (7-9 Woodbridge St, London EC1R 0EX), from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday through Friday.
