AMO Show Space for Miu Miu FW16 Runway

MiuMiuFW16_showspace01
AMO, the research, branding and publication studio of the architectural practice OMA, did the Show Space design for MIU MIU‘s Fall Winter 2016 runway.

For the Fall/Winter 2016 Miu Miu show, AMO simulates the atmosphere of a traditional hall, amplifying the monumentality of Perret’s Palais d’Iena. Chairs and poufs are arranged in lounges along the naves of the Salle Hypostyle defining three main alleys. The guests are informally seated facing each other while the models walk among the audience from one room to another following linear routes. Delicate velvets and brocades confer a domestic yet opulent feeling to the space while an enfilade of mirrors magnifies the hall and its solemnity. The design of The Great Hall priorities a spatial organization that includes the guests as part of the Mise-en-scène. – from AMO
