Days of Oris returns for its 26th edition on May 9 and 10, 2026, bringing a focused two-day program to the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb. Organized by Oris House of Architecture, the festival continues its long-standing format, gathering architects, urbanists, designers, and students within a shared space built around lectures, discussion, and exchange. Over more than two decades, the event has established a consistent rhythm that connects local practice with international perspectives.
EVENTS
This year’s edition brings together a diverse group of speakers whose work spans architecture, theory, and spatial practice. The lineup includes Al Borde from Ecuador, Vedran Mimica from the United States, Emil Jurcan from Croatia, and Dietmar Feichtinger from Austria. Reinier de Graaf of OMA joins the program alongside Yosuke Hayano of MAD Architects, extending the discussion toward global architectural production and large-scale practice. From the regional context, contributions come from Dejan Miljković, Maroje Mrduljaš, and collectives including AHAKNAP / SAAHA, 3×15, ARGU Studio, Prostorne taktike, and Studio PLOCA.

Vedran Mimica receives this year’s Oris Award, marking a recognition of his contribution to architectural education and practice. His presence anchors the program within a broader discussion on the role of pedagogy and institutional frameworks in shaping architectural thinking. The inclusion of Slavoj Žižek introduces a theoretical dimension, positioning the festival beyond disciplinary boundaries and opening space for critical reflection on culture, society, and the built environment.
The structure of Days of Oris remains direct. Lectures form the core, with each presentation offering a distinct position rather than a unified theme. This format allows contrasts to emerge across approaches, scales, and contexts. The event does not attempt to resolve these differences. It places them side by side, creating conditions for comparison and dialogue.

Moderators Mia Roth Čerina, Maroje Mrduljaš, and Dinko Peračić guide the program, framing discussions and maintaining continuity across sessions. Their role supports the exchange between speakers and audience, ensuring that the event functions as an active forum rather than a sequence of isolated presentations.
Alongside the formal program, the festival continues to emphasize informal interaction. Conversations extend beyond the lecture hall into shared spaces, where participants connect, exchange experiences, and establish new collaborations. This dimension remains central to the identity of Days of Oris, positioning the event as a meeting point rather than a one-directional platform.

Days of Oris 26 maintains its focus on architecture as a field shaped through practice, discourse, and encounter. By bringing together varied positions within a concentrated timeframe, the festival offers a clear snapshot of current thinking while leaving space for continuation beyond the event itself.
