SPAPLAN is an Italian architectural and design studio specialized for planning and realizations of wellness spaces around the world. This is their latest spa realization at Courtyard Marriott, in King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel.

The Spa at Kona Beach Hotel is located at one of the most historic sites in all of Hawaii. King Kamehameha the Great established his royal residence adjacent to the current site of his namesake hotel where the spa is newly opened.
The Spa at Kona Beach Hotel offers variety of international and Hawaiian traditional menu powered by authentic Indian Naturopathic discipline.
Spaplan, the Italian studio with long experience of spa planning at various countries , created an elegant ,simple, natural and relaxing atmosphere mixing the touch of local artistic taste. The spa design is based on one key color, off-white, and coordinated with other light natural colors and local natural materials like red oak and Ohia wood are finely mixed.
All spa rooms are furnished by custom made local red oak furniture. The spa entrance is particularly studied to create warm atmosphere furnished by library,courtesy health bar and comfortable waiting area characterized by old Ohia wood sculpture that is realized by local artist Richard Bate. Each treatment room is designed elegantly and personalized by local hawaiian artist Danielle Davis who painted with Hawaiian and oriental inspirations.
Vichy shower room is richly covered by natural pebble stones for floor and small brilliant white stone pieces for walls making a harmonious and relaxing feeling. The custom made teak table and an antique stone fountain filled with fresh water and flowers accompanied by a small antique stone turtle that is believed in Hawaii as one that brings in good fortune are all studied in detail to create the atmosphere warm and particular.
The spa offers not only various treatment menu but also chiropractic, manicure,pedicure, Vichy shower and the exclusive oceanfront massage and Yoga course. At Spa boutique they sells an important international cosmetic brand and eco-friendly local products such as clothing made of soy bamboo etc. This boutique is also designed by Spaplan in the same spa design concept.
