Luxury house Saint Laurent has announced the opening of its largest flagship store, a magnificent new space located on the iconic avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. This opening is a realization of a dream once articulated by Yves Saint Laurent, who expressed a desire to see his name in fiery letters on this famous avenue. Anthony Vaccarello, the current creative force behind the brand, has brought this vision to life with a fresh and innovative design concept.
Housed in a historic Haussmannian building, the new Saint Laurent boutique is designed to instill a sense of discovery in one of the world’s most emblematic locations. The store celebrates the essence of the building’s original architectural elements, with its restored facade announcing a new era of modern luxury for the brand. Inside, the store’s luminous interior is striking, featuring a series of unique spaces that flow naturally, creating an immersive experience for clients.
The boutique’s design juxtaposes rough textures with precise details. The design, both raw and refined, guides visitors through distinct but unified rooms. Marble displays frame the brand’s collections as precious objects, inviting clients to interact with the products.
One of the boutique’s many highlights is a double-height foyer adorned with a neon light sculpture by artist Cerith Wyn Evans, commissioned by Saint Laurent. The store also features sensuous surfaces, curving staircases in black-lacquered wood, and a serene private garden accessible to clients. Displayed throughout are several pieces of furniture by Donald Judd.
The Champs-Élysées boutique offers the complete range of Saint Laurent products, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, and fine jewelry. A special assortment of items has also been curated exclusively for this space.
Saint Laurent’s new Champs-Élysées flagship store, located at 123 avenue des Champs-Élysées, opened its doors on December 9th.
