Lasvit returns to Salone del Mobile, Euroluce 2025 with Soaked in Light, its most expansive presentation to date. The exhibition reflects the Czech design house’s continued exploration of light as a medium that shapes human experience. This year, Lasvit focuses on how water and light influence mood, atmosphere, and overall well-being.
Studies show that the presence of large bodies of water can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to reduce stress and calm the mind. Lasvit brings that insight into physical space, designing glass installations that echo water’s shifting forms. Soaked in Light aims to create a meditative atmosphere, offering moments of stillness, fluidity, and reflection through glass.

Splash by Martin Gallo
Designer Martin Gallo introduces Splash, a centerpiece of the exhibition and a study of water’s emotional range. Gallo shapes the installation from fused glass, drawing inspiration from various water states, from a silent pond to fast-moving streams and joyful moments like children playing in puddles.
Through texture, volume, and form, Splash captures the variability of water in motion. The piece does not remain static; it shifts in interpretation as light moves across its surface. Gallo invites viewers to connect with the installation as both a visual and emotional experience.

LOOMO by Maxim Velčovský
Maxim Velčovský, Lasvit’s Art Director, presents LOOMO, a new lighting collection informed by textile techniques. Velčovský draws from the structural qualities of woven fabric, translating those patterns into sculptural lighting pieces made entirely of glass. Though smooth to the touch, the surface of LOOMO mimics the depth and rhythm of a textile weave, resulting in a design that balances substance with atmosphere.
The collection introduces two wall sconces, both finished in a golden hue that intensifies the light’s warmth. The circular design and gentle glow suggest the movement of fabric, imagined as light stretching and folding in space. Velčovský brings his signature wit and historical references to LOOMO, using light to reflect on the tactility of tradition through a contemporary lens.

Niveo by Jan Plecháč
Jan Plecháč debuts Niveo, a lighting collection modeled after the chaotic beauty of hailstones. Taking its name from the Italian word for “snow-white,” Niveo reflects the unpredictability of a storm while preserving the precision of hand-blown glasswork. Plecháč captures the contrast between nature’s spontaneity and human control by allowing organic forms to guide the design.
The pieces range from linear pendants and multi-point clusters to an inverted spherical table lamp. Each form varies in scale and surface, but all share a sense of motion frozen in time. Light diffuses gently through textured glass, adding dimensionality to each composition. Plecháč uses design to transform a moment of atmospheric chaos into something tactile and considered.

An Invitation to Experience Light Through Glass
Designers Lexová & Smetana shape the spatial narrative for Soaked in Light. Their booth design works in harmony with the collections, creating an environment that amplifies the exhibition’s themes of sensory perception and stillness. The space encourages exploration, while each installation invites visitors to pause and consider light’s effect on body and mind.
Through collaborations with Velčovský, Gallo, and Plecháč, the brand expands its design language while staying rooted in glassmaking expertise. Each collection responds to a different natural element, be it water, textile, or storm, and transforms it into something visitors can see, feel, and experience.
