CHANEL has opened its seasonal boutique for the 2019/20 winter season on Saturday December 14th in the legendary winter sports resort of Courchevel. On the Place du Rocher, the letters of CHANEL are lit up with red neon lights, forming a graphic contrast with the white façade embedded with black trimmed windows. The 160m2 boutique draws inspiration from the iconic CHANEL colours and the 2019/20 Cruise collection imagined by Virginie Viard. Inside, black, white, beige, red and khaki blend with tweed. On the ground floor, five large two-tone modules, with a pure and graphic line that is almost minimalist, welcome the silhouettes from the Fall-Winter 2019/20 Ready-to-Wear and Cruise collections, and the Coco Neige line. Alcoves also present the bags and the accessories as well as a choice of Jewellery creations and Watches.
The boutique is imbued with a warm, cosy atmosphere, reinforced by the use of materials such as velvet and faux fur that we discover in the fitting room and on the poufs.
A staircase in wrought iron, reminiscent of that of 31 rue Cambon, leads down to the lower level of the boutique. Here, the shoes are displayed on a series of steps swathed in red tweed-style carpet accentuated with metal, which, in front of a mirror, creates the illusion of a floating staircase.
A luxuriously simple showcase for a winter perfectly in tune with the spirit of CHANEL.
CHANEL’s seasonal boutique in Courchevel will remain open until the month of April 2020.
