Architects at Crosby Studios challenge the notion of the traditional interior design by not only stripping the walls to the bricks but also stripping the ceilings to its original concrete construction elements. Crosby Studios clients wanted their home in Moscow to breathe with a sentiment of a modern New York City apartment in Brooklyn.
While creating the space the team at Crosby Studio found inspiration in sculptures of minimalist Donald Judd, photographers of NYC in the 80s, as well as work of architect Konstantin Melnikov. To create the was open space, the architects took down the initially present walls.
