Louis Vuitton expands its Pierre Legrain Homage Collection with the Kubic Armchair, unveiled during Paris Design Week 2026 as part of the House’s Objets Nomades presentation. The new piece appears alongside the latest Objets Nomades creations in an exhibition running from September 10 to 13, 2026 at Hôtel Particulier Louis Vuitton in Paris.

The House first presented the new Objets Nomades collection at Palazzo Serbelloni during Milan Design Week 2026. In Paris, Louis Vuitton continues its exploration of furniture, lighting and decorative objects through a program that connects design history with contemporary production.
Louis Vuitton launched Objets Nomades in 2012 as a platform for limited-edition design pieces created with renowned artisans and contemporary designers. In 2025, the House expanded its activity in interiors with the introduction of the Louis Vuitton Home Collections, bringing furniture, lighting, decorative objects, home textiles, tableware and games into a broader art de vivre offer.
The Pierre Legrain Homage Collection forms part of the program marking the centenary of the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. The collection revisits the work of Pierre Legrain, whose practice covered decoration, illustration, bookbinding and cabinet-making.
Legrain worked with Louis Vuitton during the 1920s and created the House’s first furniture piece, the Louis Vuitton Dressing Table. His contribution connected the company with the decorative arts during a period when Gaston-Louis Vuitton broadened its creative activity beyond travel. The 1925 Exhibition also placed Louis Vuitton within the development of Art Deco.
The Kubic Armchair takes its source from a historic Legrain design commissioned by Jacques Doucet in 1923. Louis Vuitton revisits that model through a geometric construction built around cubic lines. A trapezoidal backrest and faceted armrests define the chair’s structure, while Nomade leather covers the main surfaces.
Rosewood side legs complete the design and introduce another material reference to the original period. The combination of angular geometry, leather and wood connects the chair to both Art Deco and Cubist influences while maintaining the proportions of Legrain’s historic concept.
Louis Vuitton places the Kubic Armchair within a broader selection that includes pieces drawn from the archives of Pierre Legrain, Charlotte Perriand and Fortunato Depero. New work by Estudio Campana also joins the presentation, together with pieces by Raw Edges and Franck Genser.
The Paris exhibition runs at Hôtel Particulier Louis Vuitton, 18 rue de Martignac, 75007 Paris, from September 10 through September 13.
