Designed by renowned architect Morris Adjmi, the striking development is transforming a formerly vacant block into a residential destination inspired by its surroundings. A highly-detailed, hand-laid brick façade complements DUMBO’s Belgian-block streets, historic warehouse architecture and contemporary lifestyle, while the base of the building showcases signature arches inspired by the spandrels of the nearby Manhattan Bridge. The two 21-story residential towers are framed by a scalloped superframe crafted in New York’s Hudson Valley, evidence of the building’s impeccable craftsmanship inside and out. Intended to activate the surrounding streetscapes, Front & York has been generously set back from the property line, making space for 30-foot-wide, tree-lined sidewalks that will create a lively, plaza-like experience for the neighborhood.

“DUMBO is a neighborhood that has been crafted by time, and Front & York has been designed to beautifully echo that history,” said Morris Adjmi, Principal of Morris Adjmi Architects. “The handcrafted façade and elegant homes exude the utmost craftsmanship and offer a stunning living experience inside a beautiful new space that tells the story of its surroundings. Front & York goes beyond the typical residential building to become the defining address for DUMBO.”

Ranging from one- to four-bedrooms and spread across two towers serviced by their own lobbies, the condominium residences at Front & York combine beautiful materials with modern finishes. With ceilings stretching to 10 feet, white oak floors and Nest thermostats, the homes offer a sophisticated, inviting ambiance. Oversized divided-light windows bring in an abundance of natural light and frame panoramas of the waterfront, glittering cityscape, tree-lined sidewalks and park. The spacious kitchens are complete with custom Morris Adjmi-designed Italian cabinetry, Caldia stone countertops and backsplashes, Waterworks fittings and Gaggenau appliances. Elegant master bathrooms illustrate the attention to detail and craftsmanship present throughout the homes. Custom Morris Adjmi-designed Italian vanities and medicine cabinets, Waterworks cast iron tubs, custom Waterworks and Morris Adjmi-designed fittings, and radiant-heated floors adorn the luxurious spaces.

In addition to expansive, elegant homes, Front & York will offer one of the most comprehensive, resort-style amenities packages in all of New York City, spanning 150,000 square feet of best-in-class sports, leisure and lifestyle amenities. One of the city’s largest private parks, a gorgeous space designed by Michael Van Valkenburg Associates, who envisioned the neighborhood’s beloved Brooklyn Bridge Park, will be located at the heart of the development, providing a quiet respite and lush view for residents. Residents of Front & York will also enjoy a private rooftop pool deck with a sparkling outdoor pool, plush cabanas and lounge areas. Additional amenities include lifestyle and leisure spaces such as private wine rooms, co-working lounges, private chef’s kitchens with private dining rooms, teen lounges, children’s playrooms and much more. Another rarity in Brooklyn, Front & York has been designed with grand porte cocheres to complement the building’s robust private parking. With this incredible offering, Front & York will be one of the few full-service luxury lifestyle destinations in the neighborhood.
