From the Architect: Drawing upon the sky-high residence’s vistas, Jonathan crafted the interiors for this three-bedroom, three-bathroom space to great a glamorous oasis in the sky, stating: “The apartment is on a high floor—it’s like being in the clouds. I wanted the apartment to be serene and calm; the perfect retreat from the endless energy of New York City. The cool color palette and squishy furniture are comfortable, and the layered accessories—which add just the right dash of eccentricity—make this a glamorous cloud in the sky for a young, urban family.”
The home was designed to evoke a sense of sophistication while staying cheerful, warm and welcoming through a juxtaposition of sleeker, modern luxury pieces with lighthearted accents and pops of color (such as barcelona lamps and textured tile credenza paired with colorful art, patterns and plush textures)
Opposite from the residence’s living and bedrooms, the dining area with white chair and a white table places emphasis on the towering windows with sweeping views. Furniture is low and sleek to ensure the view for residents is uninterrupted.
