The ‘ReActor by Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley

Architect-artist duo Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley designed this inspring piece called the ‘ReActor‘, a habitable sculpture where they lived for a five-day performance. The structure rotates 360-degrees and sits on top of a 15-foot concrete column. The structure moves and rotates in response to its inhabitants’ movements, exterior forces, and interior conditions. Not only does the structure spin, it also tilts. The piece was on display at the OMI International Arts Center in Ghent, New York.
