South African furniture studio OKHA has re-imagined it’s classic, the Barnett dining chair. The distinguishing feature of the Barnett is a curvaceous cradle that holds the saddle-like seat. Its frame and seat are separate elements which combine for greater impact. Discover more after the jump.
From the designers: As Creative Director Adam Court says, BARNETT dining chair is “about a timeless grace, classical elegance and was designed to be realised in leather, allowing the saddle stitch detail to form part of the chairs tailored aesthetic.”
The timber frame of BARNETT is a curvaceous cradle that holds the seat, somewhat saddle like, the frame and seat are two separate and defined elements that come together to create an impactful and characterful unison. Barnett is a “character” that complete a space and can be fully customised from a broad range of timbers and upholstery.
