Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster have joined forces to open stunning new new pop-up stores in 7 cities around the world. By combining their two brands, Katerina Jebb’s high-resolution scanning technology creates a new “Créature,” which is then made manifest through an original campaign. The genderless range, which consists of sunglasses and eyeglasses, was created by Gentle Monster and Creative Director John Galliano. It is based on ideas created in the Artisanal atelier and features eleven designs in various colorways.
At the pop-up, Gentle Monster’s distinct creative sensibility reinterprets Maison Margiela’s iconic components, like the black mask, unfinished thread, and fabric details.
The full eyewear collaboration will be on sale worldwide on February 28 through Gentle Monster and Maison Margiela’s online and offline locations, as well as a few international retailers. Collaborative pop-ups will be held in seven places worldwide to mark the launch.

The Maison Margiela x Gentle Monster pop-up will take place in Seoul, New York, London, Singapore, and three Chinese cities, among other locations. A unique cushion will be distributed to customers at the pop-up stores in a restricted number of the seven chosen cities on a first-come, first-served basis.
