Linc Thelen Design and Scrafano Architects (4)

In Chicago, Linc Thelen Design and Scrafano Architects have transformed an empty Giant Stained Glass Window Church into a home for a family with three children. The inside of the former church was gutted, but the shell of the structure remained intact. The new family home, boasts 7 bedrooms and 6 baths. The great room has ceiling heights soaring at 25 feet, showcasing its timber beams. A floating steel staircase with a glass rail system was also installed. Linc a designed the dining room table, a climbing wall for the bedroom, and a murphy bed that folds down in the nursery.

The selected finishes create a modern and eclectic vibe pairing interesting wallpapers and light fixtures.
The home showcases historic details of the church with original stained glass windows, bell tower, exposed brickwork and ceiling turnbuckles while integrating all of the conveniences of modern living.
