Porro introduces Space Design, a new catalog that reshapes interior living through movement, material contrast, and structural flexibility. At the center of this approach are the latest developments in the Glide partition collection and the Layer wall system. Designed by Piero Lissoni and Iaco Design Studio, the Glide elements, available as fixed, sliding, and pivoting options, transform how spaces connect, separate, and evolve.
These partitions do more than divide rooms. They guide movement, create transitions, and adjust layouts with precision. Combined with the Layer system, which incorporates doors, storage, and furniture directly into the wall surface, Porro equips designers with the tools to shift a space instantly from private to open, from static to mobile.

Glide Shanghai: Structure in Motion
The Glide Shanghai partition captures attention through its precise alignment of vertical slats over glass surfaces. Available in black-painted metal, white cherry, or heat-treated oak, these slats contrast with the transparency of the panels to generate rhythm and tactility. The Shanghai partition invites both visual inspection and physical interaction, standing as a central element of the space rather than a passive background.
This model comes in fixed, sliding, and pivoting versions. The pivoting option, in particular, introduces flexibility with its ability to rotate around a central axis. Users can shift zones or adjust sightlines with minimal effort.

Layer System: Materiality and Modularity
Designed by CRS Porro, the Layer panelling system extends surface design across an architectural grid. Each square meter panel accepts a wide range of finishes, including matt and glossy lacquers, wood veneers, fabric, eco-leather, and straw. This versatility transforms plain walls into active surfaces, capable of concealing storage or forming the foundation for new interior compositions.

Layer’s ease of installation and adaptability allow designers to align finishes across partitions, walls, and furniture elements. This creates continuity without uniformity. The use of Layer in combination with the Glide Solid partition builds rooms with subtle complexity.

Glide Solid: Single-Material Simplicity
The new Glide Solid pivoting partition embraces uniformity through material. Available in all matt lacquer and wood finishes in the Porro catalogue, it offers a clean, full-surface design with no glass or metal interruptions. Handle options, Boite Aux, Tipo C, or Linea, match those of the Storage wardrobe system, reinforcing consistency across living spaces.

When used alongside the Layer panelling system, the Glide Solid partition builds continuity with purpose. The shared texture and tone help define rooms, while maintaining access and visual rhythm. In the shown configuration, Glide Solid interacts with Load-it shelving and the translucent Glide Samurai, each defined by the same ebano tech finish.

Glide Miru: Light and Privacy
For areas that demand both visibility and separation, Glide Miru introduces a translucent pivot partition with nuanced surface treatments. Options include transparent, satin, reflective, or mirror glass, each affecting privacy and reflection differently. One version of Glide Miru uses a black ceramic mesh pattern to soften the view between rooms. The fine grid disperses light while creating a play between opacity and brightness.

Designing for Movement and Change
Porro’s evolving systems offer tools for both subtle division and complete spatial transformation. Rather than locking users into fixed layouts, the Glide and Layer elements create living environments that shift with purpose and respond to changing needs. Whether through slatted glass, solid panels, or translucent mesh, Porro gives designers and residents the ability to shape rooms with clarity, rhythm, and intent.
