Vermilion Zhou Design Group has completed works on the Crystal Orange Hotel Shanghai Pudong Lujiazui in Lujiazui, China. The Crystal Orange Hotel’s “Whiskey” theme imagines a dapper gentleman ushering guests into an exclusive club. Even after indulging, visitors will experience a secure and welcoming setting that encourages unwinding.
The architects wanted to bring high quality and practicality into the guest experience when it came to accommodation. Lighting welcomes visitors to the hotel, where the transforming qualities of various fixtures and areas immediately diffuse the stresses of a busy life. The new Crystal Orange Hotel’s accommodations are best described as exquisite but not ostentatious and necessary but not artificial. The refraction and dispersion of light seem to filter out noise and the effects of jet lag, giving visitors an opportunity to rejuvenate and experience unmatched calm.
The texture of crystal comes from purity and penetration, without impurities. Under solid light, a crystal reflect the colors of a rainbow, with a gradually refined texture over its life that, when polished, is brilliant and lustrous.
A high degree of quality is represented in visible and touchable textures throughout the hotel, whether in its public or private areas, evoking favorable feelings in visitors from the moment they arrive. Between the open and private spaces, the sparkling starlight of the infinity mirror box evokes a feeling of washing away exterior strife and promotes emancipation and relaxation.

Vermilion Zhou transformed the existing state of the original building into more functional values by deleting outmoded areas, diffusing crystal light, and radiating new shine. The company’s design for the new Crystal Orange Hotel implies to simplicity and purity.
