House Lehtikivi by Finnish architect Lasse Lehtinen of Arkkitehtuuri Oy Lehtinen Miettunen is located in Lammi, Finland, on a vast ridge system left over from the glaciers of the Ice Age. Made almost entirely of timber, the house has robust, rock-like form. The architect was paying careful attention to the traditional building methods of Finland, so the house reminds us the of traditional Finnish cabins.
The main idea was to create a building as if it was creating out of the rock, yet made of wood. – Lasse Lehtinen
