Bridgehampton House by Specht Architects

Designed by Specht Architects, the Bridgehampton House is a major renovation and reconstruction of an existing 1980’s house near the Long Island shore, located in Bridgehampton. Large windows and clerestory glazing were added letting the views and natural light be the focus of the interior spaces. Simple, utilitarian materials such as sealed plywood, bleached cedar and shou sugi ban treated cedar (proven to handle the elements) complement the architecture and provide for a bright, comfortable coastal home.
