Atelier L’Abri introduces Territoire Charlevoix, an exceptional concept of experiential camping located in the heart of the Canadian wilderness. Situated amidst the sprawling forests between La Malbaie and Baie-Saint-Paul, this remote retreat offers breathtaking panoramic vistas of Quebec’s majestic Charlevoix region and its sprawling landscapes.

Inspired by the unique essence of Territoire, the designers crafted an architectural response deeply rooted in its surroundings. The result is a series of structures that are simultaneously simple yet diverse, familiar yet distinctive. Seamlessly blending into the natural landscape, these thoughtfully designed constructions provide respite, security, and entertainment, all while embracing the beauty of their surroundings.

Territoire operates year-round, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore and discover the ever-changing landscapes and activities offered by each season in the region.

Intimacy, minimalism, and immersion define the experience at Territoire. The five cozy shelters offer a snug retreat amidst nature’s embrace, whether under the summer sun or winter’s frost. Balancing rustic charm with modern convenience, these compact abodes provide a tranquil space for relaxation and contemplation, carefully positioned to minimize their environmental footprint.

The architectural design of the shelters is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with single-slope roofs that follow the natural contours of the land. Each shelter features a well-appointed interior, complete with a kitchenette, dining area, and a cozy bed overlooking expansive bay windows. Outside, covered dining areas and communal spaces encourage social interaction while preserving the serenity of the wilderness.

In addition to the shelters, Territoire Charlevoix offers camping experiences in secluded archipelagos, where wooden platforms provide a private retreat amidst nature’s splendor. These communal spaces foster a sense of community, offering stunning views and shared amenities for a truly unforgettable outdoor experience.

The reception building serves as a central hub for visitors, offering dining facilities, restrooms, and a warm welcome to all who venture into this pristine wilderness. Through thoughtful design and meticulous attention to detail, Territoire Charlevoix invites guests to immerse themselves fully in the natural beauty and tranquility of the region, offering a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature and oneself.
