Table Design by Marcus Voraa

Designed by Marcus Voraa, the table is made of beach with a beewaxtreated surface, steel and canvas. 1500 – 4000 x 800 x 740 mm.
The length of the table can be adjusted by sliding the end of the table out and letting the tamber table-top follow. The steel crank on the side of the table is used to retract the table, to shorten it.

“In our home there is an open plan living-room and kitchen. The room is the heart of our apartment and it is where we gather round together with friends and family. After one too many trips to the cellar to fetch the extra table leaves I decided I wanted a table that was flexible and had everything in one place. When I received the internet-themed brief for the exhibition at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, that was when the idea for the roll-out table @ came together.
I wanted to try and represent the social arena that is the internet. The table is where we meet, get to know each other, discuss and share information in the real world. No matter whether it is around the dinner table, in the meeting room or at a conference, it is at the table where our parallel worlds meet, the physical and the digital.”
