This year at Milan Design Week, Hermès blends the old and the new with a collection that encompasses both fresh designs and timeless treasures from its rich heritage. Intertwining the past with the present, Hermès objects defy the constraints of time, embodying an ageless elegance that speaks to the Maison’s enduring legacy. As visitors explore through the exhibition, they are greeted by a captivating display of raw materials – bricks, stones, wood, and compacted earth – arranged in a composition reminiscent of a jockey’s silk jersey. This nod to Hermès’ cultural heritage serves as a reminder of the Maison’s deep-rooted connection to the land and its history.

Central to the exhibition is the iconic jockey’s jacket, celebrated for its geometric patterns and vibrant colors, which serves as a wellspring of inspiration for the creation of leather goods and textiles. Drawing from this heritage, Hermès unveils the Diapason d’Hermès armchair, characterized by its elegant and radical design lines. Alongside this striking centerpiece, visitors are treated to a symphony of lightness and refinement, as delicate lamps inspired by equestrian vaulting codes illuminate the space, while the Tressages équestres table service exudes an air of sophistication with its intricate craftsmanship and subtle detailing.
