Casa Ilhabela by Studio MK27

Casa-Ilhabela-mk27-(3)
Marcio Kogan and Diana Radomylser of Studio MK27 have designed Casa Ilhabela using local materials and taking design cues from the landscape of Ilhabela region, with beautiful nature, quiet ocean, mountains and waterfalls. Using references to Asian aesthetics, the architects created neutral, muted and flowing home.

Two-storey house is designed over two flowing levels, with living area on the lower level and the bedrooms and TV room upstairs. First level features concrete floor that blends with a stacked stone wall, with very neutral color palette as well as green pool that dissolves the division between water and grass. The second level is shaded by bamboo shutters made from locally sourced materials.
