Capa Arquitectura has completed their latest residential project nestled in the serene landscapes of Retiro, Colombia –  the Casa Morroplancho.

The Morroplancho house’s design philosophy revolves around providing its occupants with the unique opportunity to appreciate the landscape from various perspectives. This concept has manifested itself in the form of an L-shaped structure that elegantly unfolds towards the surrounding scenery, offering breathtaking views through a plethora of thoughtfully positioned openings.

This residence defies convention, as it lacks conventional facades. Instead, it employs subtle details, featuring round windows and extracted trapezoids. Its materiality is a tribute to Colombia’s rich heritage, using opaque and reddish bricks, intricately intertwined to create a unique visual texture. The artisanal work on these bricks not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also connects the residence to the country’s culture, symbolizing the reddish mountains of Colombia.
