Just as you thought the race to build the highest building is over news comes of Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill Architecture are set to build the Kingdom Tower in Saudia Arabia, 1001 meters high (that is 173m higher than the Burj in Dubai). It will house hotels, office, luxury and serviced apartments and the world's highest observatory.
