The first studio of Pablo Picasso in Barcelona is now a Five Star Luxury boutique hotel, The Serras in Barcelona is located on the Passeig de Colom near the famed Las Ramblas. The hotel is located in a 19th century building, in charge of designing the interiors was Interior Designer Eva Martinez. For the 28 rooms and suites Eva has created a modern yet comfortable atmosphere, often referencing the buildings rich history.
The special treat in some of the 40 square meter junior suites are the freestanding tubs with magnificent harbour views. The Serras is also the first Five Star hotel on the waterfront in Central Bacelona (Spain).
The owners have preserved the buildings original facade designed in 1846 by Francesc Daniel Molina, the famed architect of the Barcelona’s Placa Reial. What makes the hotel even more special is the unique rooftop bar and a terrace and a pool overlooking the seaside.
Furthermore The Serras also houses the special Picasso suite, in the rooms where the famous painter created the painting with the views of Basilica de La Mercè.
