Terrón House by Fabric Estudio exemplifies architectural harmony with the surrounding environment, integrating design, color, and materials to complement the natural landscape. A key aspect of the project was preserving all native trees on-site, achieved through internal courtyards, expansive windows, and roof openings that foster fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. This approach emphasizes spatial continuity, creating open environments that dissolve boundaries with the landscape.
Green serves as a guiding theme, reflected in both architecture and interior design. Natural materials such as wood and tiles are used throughout, reinforcing the organic connection. Untreated wood elements on the exterior further blend the structure with its natural surroundings, enhancing cohesion between the built and natural environments.
To ensure a unified design, a single paint tone is used for both the interior and exterior, eliminating visual contrast and contributing to a calm, balanced atmosphere. The project’s single-story design minimizes visual impact on the landscape, promoting an experience that feels both coherent and integrated with the surroundings.
Every element of the house reflects minimal intervention, with materials chosen to harmonize with the setting. Expansive windows and open spaces enhance the relationship between architecture and nature, supporting a design philosophy that emphasizes subtlety and sustainability.
Gonzalo Viramonte‘s photography captures the essence of Terrón House, documenting the way light interacts with the structure and highlighting the connection between indoor and outdoor environments. His work emphasizes the thoughtful integration of materials, spaces, and natural elements in this project.
Terrón House showcases Fabric Estudio’s commitment to environmentally conscious design, achieving a delicate balance between architecture and nature. By using natural materials and prioritizing harmony with the landscape, the project exemplifies a sustainable and serene architectural experience.
